Our Mission

Y-12 FCU Gives Foundation Inc.’s mission is to reduce the number of undernourished children in the communities we serve by providing them with food, knowledge, and resources.

How We Give

Our foundation is working to reduce these alarming statistics by awarding grants to local organizations that fight childhood hunger on the front lines. In 2024, we awarded more than $320,000 in grants to 41 local organizations.

Join us in the fight to end childhood hunger.

Our Charitable Growth

In just 8 short years, Y-12 FCU Gives Foundation Inc. has grown to over $1.8million given in grants! About 2 million meals have been served to thousands of children. This is all thanks to our wonderful team members here at Y12 FCU, as well as the communities they support.

The Gives Foundation files a Form 990 each year with the IRS that can be viewed on IRS.gov under Tax Exempt Organization Search.

Testimonials

The Y12 Gives Foundation grant allows us to partner with UT Extension to offer a Nutrition Education and Cooking class. We asked Y12 for funding to send groceries home with our program families so they can recreate the recipes at home each week. This reinforces what they learned in class. It also gives their family a yummy nutritious meal!

FAMILY PROMISE OF BLOUNT COUNTY

Y-12 FCU Gives is a critical part of Wesley House feeding programs. With their support we have been able to serve over 18,000 meals to our students in our afterschool and summer camp programs, and we have been able to stock our food pantry for Knoxville community members as well as Wesley House families. We are so grateful Y-12 believes in our mission and partners with us on such a critical piece of everyday life.
